Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Introduces the Banu Haqim as the Third Playable Clan

The third playable for the Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was revealed as the Banu Haqim. Players will be taking on the role of Phyre, an Elder Kindred Embraced during the early 1600s who will need to choose between the vampire clans. So far the clans revealed are the Banu Haqim, Brujah, Tremere and the next clan will be announced in December.

The Banu Haqim Clan

Banu Haqim is a clan that specialises in assassinations, stalking, and escaping enemies from the shadows with shrouded moves and quiet takedowns. If Phyre picks this clan it will also affect how they approach combat. In a press release, project creative director Alex Skidmore explains that using the clan’s strengths such as “timing” and using “finesse” will be key to achieving goals.

The Banu Haqim clan seems to represent scholars, warriors and guardians in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. They also take on a more tactical playstyle while the other clans have their own unique qualities. The gameplay shown in the trailer previews lurking in the shadows to strike enemies who are firing guns. They don’t seem to notice someone is there, ready to take them out with a swift slice of their hand.

The Chinese Room previously introduce the main character Phyre a grizzled veteran of the vampire world. Waking up many years later will put them in a position to decide who to side with, dealing with a much more modern world and how to navigate the clans.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG in fall 2024.
