The post Lords of the Fallen Gets Colossal Roadmap for 2023 appeared first on Fextralife.

Lords of the Fallen Roadmap has been revealed, and it’s impressive! The game has been out for less than a month, but the developer team have already demonstrated refreshing commitment to their craft by not only releasing over 10 incremental patches that focused on community feedback over the past few weeks, but they have now also announced a fantastic amount of free content that they have planned for the game.

Lords of the Fallen Roadmap for 2023 includes secret bosses, new armour, new questlines, new spells and more.

Lords of the Fallen Roadmap Free Content 2023

The Free Content Plan for Lords of the Fallen divides the upcoming goodies into “weekly enhancement” and “development work”. It is clear from the announcement post, which you can find on Steam, that the Hexworks team is very passionate about the game and wants to continue to improve the experience for all players.

The development work focus on adding new stuff like the Halloween event, new weapons, new game modes. I’ll go into those after we see what you can expect in the “weekly” version.

Weekly enhancements promise to focus on

  • Stability – The game is not necessarily prone to crashing, and a patch in Mid-October addressed the most egregious ones, but ongoing stability is a point that any player can appreciate.
  • Performance – The game’s performance had issues on consoles and some PCs at launch, and it has already been greatly improved, but the developers will continue to fine-tune this aspect. This is excellent news for fans as one of the most frustrating aspects of modern gaming is subpar performance holding back otherwise excellent games.
  • Save Game Fixes – This means they will continue to address issues associated with save game corruption. These are not overly prominent, and some workarounds have been found online, but it’s certainly a priority as losing your progress is an awful experience. If you have ran into such issues, make sure to reach out to the developers via their official contact and report it so they can work on it!
  • Co-Op & PvP ImprovementsMultiplayer is the lifeblood of soulslike longevity, so addressing Netcode, connectivity issues and the overall multiplayer experience is a must. I really hope they can focus on this aspect as I very much enjoy the coop of the game and it does need further fine-tuning.
  • Balancing – The developers will prioritize PvE to tweak balancing and address some overpowered and underpowered elements, which has already been in the works as of the most recent patch, that rebalanced some spells and also made boss weapons upgrade to +10 instead of +5. I am working to get all these changes into the wiki, but if you find anything that’s missing or has been tweaked please feel free to edit.
  • Increased Boss Difficulty – Some players feel the bosses should be tougher, and it sounds like the Hexworks team plans to improve this aspect as well. I personally didn’t feel the bosses were too much of a pushover, but more challenging encounters could lead to more nuance in Builds and approaches, and also more multiplayer.
  • QoL Tweaks – There are many small things that can be improved for overall quality of life, and the developers are listening to player feedback to get these into the game. Make sure to share your feedback often!

Lords of the Fallen Free DLC 2023

Other milestones of the roadmap focus on actual free extra content that spices up the game, extends its longevity, and improves your overall experience. These are planned for November – December but will extend into 2024, with developers stating they don’t plan on slowing down:

Halloween Event – Already launched, this special event allowed players to do a special in-game treasure hunt and quest to obtain a unique and limited Helm.

Mob Density Reduction – This is also already launched. Being overwhelmed by hordes of monsters was a common complaint for many players, so the number of spawns and the “leashes” of monsters have been adjusted. This was done in Patch 1.1.224 by reducing the number of enemies present in areas where players most struggle. These enemies are removed in your initial playthrough, but remain in NG+, in keeping with the more challenging experience players are seeking.

Inventory & Stash Expansions – Plans to increase inventory are now formally announced. Whether this means the NPC shops will have more goodies remains to be seen, but given its separating “inventory” and “stash” I certainly hope so! I would very much like to get to buy more things from vendors after a certain point in the game to facilitate experimentation with builds. There’s also the added desire to carry more of everything, but we’ll see how it pans out as developers make their plans clear.

New Spells – Divided into two packs, the roadmap promises to bring new spells. This would be an excellent addition as there are currently 59 spells between Umbral, Radiant and Inferno and it would be amazing to increase that and improve build variety. It would also impact the depth of your commitment to a specific line, and perhaps give more incentive to increase your Spell Slots. I assume that the new spells will likely be associated with new questlines for thematic consistency, but they may also be added as treasure or boss exchanges.

New Armor Sets & Questlines – Special new questlines and rewards of an armor set for each Radiant, Rhogar and Umbral has been announced. This is something I’m actually quite excited for as I love collecting armor sets, and the previews of the armor look amazing. The fact they will be quest-related also means added exploration and complexity to my playthrough, so a big plus for existing and new players. These new quests may also include new mini-bosses, and perhaps impact the rest of the game in some form.

New Grievous Strikes – These are the “critical” moves of the game, so I assume this means there’ll be new movesets to be performed when executing them. Considering there are 12 different weapon types, I hope they each get their own unique new flair.

Additional Secret Boss Weapon Abilities – Some specific boss weapons gain unique abilities after performing a certain amount of steps, and when used in a certain way. Discovering these is fun for explorers and can really change your gameplay, so adding more is certainly a plus, but there were very few boss weapons with this mechanic so the hype around it died quickly. It’s great to see the developers plan to expand on this aspect.

Split PvE & PvP Balancing – This is something that took FromSoftware over 10 years to figure out, so I’m very happy to hear that Hexworks is already working on it. There’s nothing worse as a player than having your PvE build nerfed because someone is abusing it on PvP encounters that you never do! It should also help optimize PvP encounters so there’s more fairness around fights and to create more creative approaches that skip the cookie cutter “OP” flavor of the week.

Gamepad Rebinding – This is a commonly asked feature and I’m very pleased to learn it’s in development, as being able to rework bindings can really improve your overall experience with any game.

New Game + Modifiers – This specific update had been announced as in the works earlier on, when developers tweaked the way Vestiges work in New Game Plus with Patch v.1.1.224. The NG+ modifiers will allow players to fully customize their NG+ experience, whether that’s retaining all vestiges, keeping just a few, or removing them completely. It will also include other fun modifiers like a “hardcore” mode (1 death = permadeath), item randomizers, enemy randomizers, etc. The feature set is yet to be fully defined, but the developer announced intention is to release the modifier system before the end of the year.

The LOTF Interactive Map can help you find all new items

What else to expect for DLC or Expansions

Right now, the Hexworks team is working on optimizing the game and improving its stability, performance, and player experience. With new free content announced, it’s inevitable to wonder whether the game will also get paid DLC and Expansions.

Given Lords of the Fallen sold over 1 Million copies in 10 days, I think it’s enough of a commercial success to warrant paid content in the future. With the ongoing performance improvements and the inevitable winter sales that will add new users in December and January, the player base will increase and be significant enough that it could support paid content.

I personally would very much like to see some tweaks done to the game’s existing NPCs and questlines to facilitate progression and understanding of what gets locked out as you do what. I would also like to see a revision to the game’s endings, as they could feel quite underwhelming and even rushed after doing significant work to unlock them.

But besides those wishes for free tweaks, I think I would happily pay for more extensive content that allows me to explore new mid-game areas and unlock new spell types, new weapons and armor, or hopefully a contained small story that picks up after the game events.

So what would you like to see? Are there any specific tweaks and changes you are wanting or looking forward to? Will you be buying any paid DLC if it’s ever made? Let us know in the comments below.

The post Lords of the Fallen Strength Build – Fire Knight Build Guide appeared first on Fextralife.

In this Lords of the Fallen Strength Build, I’m going to be showing you my Cinder Build, which is a Fire Knight Build. It has some fire elements to it, uses the Sword, Shield, and Crossbow, and has some really good things going for it.

Lords of the Fallen Strength Build – Fire Knight Build Guide

Lords of the Fallen - Fire Knight in Combat

Taking a look at the Weapon that I’m using for this Lords of the Fallen Strength Build, I’m using the Proselyte Sword, which drops from the Proselyte enemies from the game. There’s one very early on in the Abandoned Redcopse and then another outside Skyrest Bridge. This can be farmed but it can take a while to get one of these and you don’t absolutely have to have one of these for this Build.

Lords of the Fallen - Proselyte Sword

But there are a few things I like about the Proselyte Sword. First of all, it only has Strength scaling and requirements, meaning, that you can just dump points into Strength in order to meet the requirements for this Weapon and to get damage out of it. You don’t have to worry about meeting some 13, 10, or 12 Agility requirements and end up wasting points there. Second, is that this has physical and fire damage but only requires Strength scaling, not Inferno. So again, all your points can go into Strength, which is nice and it also has burn buildup when you hit enemies enough times.

Lords of the Fallen Strength Build – Equipment

Thorned Crimson Rector Sword

Lords of the Fallen - Thorned Crimson Rector Sword

Now, if you don’t want to use this Weapon or you’re simply farming it and can’t get it, the Thorned Crimson Rector Sword is not a bad replacement. It has the same Strength requirements, scales with Strength as well and it does bleed buildup instead of fire buildup. Bleed is really strong in this game so that’s a good alternative. Feel free to use either of those two Swords.

Shield

Lords of the Fallen - Hallowed Knight Shield

For my Shield, I’m using the Hallowed Knight Shield. This can be any Shield that you want really. You’re going to have tons of Strength so you’ll be able to meet the requirements for a lot of them. It comes down to weight. How much weight do you want on your Shield versus how much you want for your Armor to protect you so it’s really up to you. You could use a much better Shield if you want but you absolutely want to use one for this Lords of the Fallen Fire Knight Build.

The reason for that is even though we’re predominantly attacking with the Proselyte Sword or the Thorn Crimson Rector Sword the whole time, that Shield is going to work as a medium to use rune slots. These rune slots can be applied to things to further benefit your Build so even though it’s going to take some weight, those rune slots are more than worth it.

Ranged Weapon

Lords of the Fallen - Trapper Crossbow

For my Ranged Weapon, I’m using the Trapper Crossbow, which I really love. It drops not super far into the game from Trapper enemies. Has a high Strength requirement, has very good Strength scaling, and also has burn buildup not unlike the Proselyte Sword. So if you hit something with a Trap or Crossbow Bolt and then attack, it’ll be more likely to be set on fire. It also has a higher attack power with fire than holier wither so if you’re trying to use Cinder Bolts, which we use in this, it’s going to be much more effective with those than some other Crossbow

LOTF - Bolts

For Bolts, you’re going to use whatever you can get your hands on but here I have Weighted Bolts, Cinder Bolts, and Radiant Bolts. We predominantly use Cinder Bolts for this Lords of the Fallen Strength Build because the Crossbow itself works better with Cinder. And also, the Burn buildup from the Bolts synergizes very nicely with the Proselyte Sword. These Bolts also hit like a truck. They have very high attack power so you’re going to get a lot of damage per shot.

Armor

LOTF - Flexible Armor Options

When it comes to Armor, it doesn’t matter so much what this is. It’s going to be pushing you right up to the weight limit of being in the medium encumbrance. You can still medium roll whatever you can get protection-wise, that keeps you just under heavy depending on the Shield and Sword you’re using.

They might have a little bit different weight but you can really pick whatever you want. I just went for something that looked knightly even though protection is a big part of this Lords of the Fallen Strength Build but it’s not the focus. So use whatever you want if you’re using a really heavy Shield, use some lighter Armor. If you’re using a light Shield, use some heavier Armor.

Rings

LOTF - Crossbowman's Ring

For Rings, I’m using Crossbowman’s Ring and Lucent Sword Ring. The Crossbowman’s Ring reduces the ammo cost of your Bolts by one so instead of all of these Bolts that I’m using, which normally cost three ammo, they’re only going to cost two, which is really great because we have a lot of ammo with this Fire Knight Build. This is basically a 50% increase in ammo by slotting the Ring. And since we hit really hard with our Crossbow, that’s good.

The Lucent Sword Ring is one that takes you quite a ways into the game before you even get but what I really like about this is that it adds physical damage when you’re at full or almost full health. This also applies to both your ranged and melee attacks so you’re going to get something out of it for both.

Pendant

Lords of the Fallen - Warrior's Claw

And then for our Pendant, I’m using Warrior’s Claw, which increases your physical damage and physical defense. This is really nice even though your Sword has some fire damage and you tend to use some Cinder Arrows with this Lords of the Fallen Strength Build. You still deal a decent amount of physical damage but this will boost both your ranged and melee damage.

If you happen to use the Thorned Crimson Rector Sword, this will be even better for you because you’re going to have exclusively physical damage on your melee and also getting that extra physical defense just makes us tanker.

Lords of the Fallen Strength Build – Gameplay

Lords of the Fallen - Pick Off From a Distance

So the general strategy I apply with this Fire Knight Build is to basically use my Crossbow to pick off anything that’s dangerous at range or even when taking down really hard-to-kill enemies or softening them up to a third health before engaging with them in the melee range. I don’t use all my Crossbow Bolts but I’m not having to fight them in melee the whole time and it’s effective. You’ll pop back and forth between range and melee not unlike the Blackfeather Archer Build I did, except that you’re not playing an Agility-based Build.

As a Strength-based Build, your Crossbow is more secondary whereas for that Build, the Bow is more primary. Although, it comes in handy all the time and for the runes that we use on our Sword, we’re basically focusing on anything that boosts our damage. You want increased physical damage, increased fire damage, and anything that’s going to increase your damage more with your attacks.

And then for the Shield, I have increased ammunition because we can’t have enough ammo with this Fire Knight Build. I also have increased stamina regeneration. You’ll use a lot of stamina with a Longsword so going through this resource can be a problem.

Lords of the Fallen Strength Build – Attributes

Lords of the Fallen - Fire Knight Stats

Stat-wise, this Lords of the Fallen Strength Build is Level 85 but obviously, you can play it much earlier than that. Most of the available Equipment can be obtained quite early on with the exception of the Accessories, which take a little bit longer to get. You can fill in other things in the meantime because they’re not the backbone of this Fire Knight Build.

Here, I have 45 Strength, 10 Agility, 31 Endurance, 32 Vitality, 12 Radiance, and 8 Inferno. The Radiance is there just because I started as a Dark Crusader with this Class and you start with 11. I placed one point in there because I wasn’t sure which direction I was going but you really don’t need any Radiance, Inferno, or Agility for this. If you were playing an optimum Build, you would pick a Class that has 8 Agility, 8 Radiance, and 8 Inferno and has all Strength, Endurance, and Vitality because that’s all you really want for this Build.

Lords of the Fallen - Stats in Combat

You probably want somewhere around 30 Endurance and 30 Vitality at this point of the game with everything else and Strength just to maximize your damage earlier on. As you’re putting this together, you’re going to focus more on Endurance and Vitality rather than Strength, which is enough at 19 to use the Weapon, to avoid dying in a couple of hits. As you increase these Attributes, you also increase your ammo count to help give you more Crossbow Bolts as well.

Final Thoughts

Lords of the Fallen - Final Thoughts

So that wraps up my Lords of the Fallen Strength Build, I hope you guys found this helpful. It’s a really easy Build to use in my opinion. I thas very good melee and ranged damage. The synergy between Crossbow and Strength Weapons is really nice, particularly since we’re using a Crossbow and a Weapon that has only Strength scaling. The synergy is also good between the Weapon having fire damage and burn buildup, the Crossbow having burn buildup and Cinder Arrows having burn buildup. All works very, very nicely for this Fire Knight Build.

If you are enjoying these and if you have things you want to see, let me know in the comments below.

The post Lords of the Fallen Agility Build – Frostbite, Poison, Bleed Status Effect Build Guide appeared first on Fextralife.

In this Lords of the Fallen Agility Build, I’m going to be showing you my Frostbite, Poison, Bleed Status Effect Build Guide, which is an Assassin Build. This focuses on dual-wielding Daggers and stacking up status effects to obliterate enemies quickly.

Lords of the Fallen Agility Build – Frostbite, Poison, Bleed Status Effect Build Guide

Lords of the Fallen - Status Effect Assassin

So the Weapon that I’m using for this Fallen Agility Build is the Kinrangr Hunter Dagger, which I have two of. What I like about this dagger is it has okay Agility scaling but more importantly, it has frostbite buildup. Frostbite is a Status Effect in Lords of the Fallen that rips off a lot of posture on enemies. When it triggers and deals a decent amount of damage. And on players, if you’re PvPing, it reduces their stamina bar by half for its duration.

What’s good about that is the damage that pops off when this triggers, particularly against trash enemies. Against medium-difficulty targets, you’re usually going to get a nice burst of damage in the middle of your dagger combo to finish them off to die faster.

Lords of the Fallen Agility Build – Gameplay, Equipment & Spells

Kinrangr Hunter Daggers

Lords of the Fallen - Kinrangr Hunter Dagger

The reason why I’m using the Kinrangr Hunter Daggers instead of the Fungal Bowman Daggers, which deal poison buildup, is that we’re using the Poison Weapon Spell here to buff our damage and to give us the poison status effect buildup on our Weapons when we attack. We’re getting the frostbite and poison buildup so these enemies are taking damage.

One of the nice things I’ve noticed is it seems like frostbite damage is based on the total health of the enemy and poison is as well. So the higher the health pool that these enemies have, the more effective the buildup will be against them. Furthermore, it doesn’t taper off on new game plus or the further you go into the game because it’s based on the health of the enemies or at least it is for my testing.

Lords of the Fallen - Rapid Combos

What you have here is a very rapid combo where you keep applying the poison status effect buildup until it pops. Enemies are then poisoned over time. Remember to keep applying frostbite as well for enemies to take damage. This usually kills weak ones almost always but all but kills medium enemies and takes a big chunk of health off hard-to-kill targets.

Bloodbane Ring

Lords of the Fallen - Bloodbane Ring

And then we’re using the Bloodbane Ring, which makes it so that when we inflict poison buildup, we also inflict Bleed buildup. What bleed does is it triggers a status on an enemy that where you hit them, they take extra damage. This only happens for several hits but that’s going to rip off a huge chunk of health at the same time just by what we’re doing already.

So what’s going to happen is you’re going to apply bleeding, poison, and frostbite to an enemy just by attacking with your buff Weapons and that will rip off huge chunks of health in a hurry.

What I like about the dagger move set compared to something like Short Swords, which you could arguably make a similar Build, is that Daggers consume far less stamina when attacking. It also allows you to keep chaining your attacks and they reach a lot further than you would think. The character steps forward a very good distance when you’re fighting so it’s not very difficult to close the gap with enemies.

Poison Weapon

So to be able to use a Poison Weapon, which you can purchase very early on in the game from Molhu in Skyrest Bridge. We’ll need an Umbral Catalyst. We’re using the first one here called Charm of Fortune’s Sight. I’ve upgraded it simply because we sometimes use Umbral or as a ranged attack, in pinches, where we need to take out a pesky ranged enemy. We don’t use it very often but having more damage with it is better than having less damage.

Putrefaction

Lords of the Fallen - Putrefaction

So I have upgraded a little bit here as well and also, I have Putrefaction here, which summons an AOE poison mist that can poison enemies over time. I don’t use this all that often. It’s obtainable not super far into the game in the Forsaken Fen area. You meet the requirements for it so why not have it for those times where you can poison a bunch of enemies or get a target to sit in it while you’re fighting them?

To be able to cast these Spells and use the Umbral Catalyst, you’ll need at least 12 Radiance and 12 Inferno which should probably be the first thing that you’re focused on when putting this Lords of the Fallen Agility Build together. You don’t need much to cast the Poison Weapon Spell itself. At about 15 Radiance and 15 Inferno, you’ll have 300 Mana, which will allow you to cast Poison Weapon five times without having to use a consumable or rest at a vestige.

Armor

LOTF - Armor Options

For Armor for this Frostbite, Poison, Bleed Status Effect Build Guide, there are two ways to go if you want to put this together. A lot of Agility Builds will use Light Armor and have light encumbrance to be able to dodge better. You can go that way if you want. The alternative is to stack as much Armor as you can and stay in the medium encumbrance threshold. You’ll have a decent amount of protection.

We do tend to spam chains of attack with this Build and we’re very, very hyper-aggressive. Sometimes, you’ll be chaining your attacks into an attack anyway, trying to finish an enemy off or creating damage. I kind of like it this way but you can go to the light route if you prefer. Now, if you’re going the way, that I did with this Build, meaning the medium encumbrance route. You’ll have as much protection as you can stack and you’re going to stay in that range.

Pendant of Burden

You’re going to want to use the Pendant of Burden and what this is going to do is it’s going to increase your damage for every status effect that you have inflicted upon an enemy. And since we’re inflicting poison, bleed, and frostbite constantly, this is going to crank up your damage as more and more of these apply, particularly in Boss fights or against difficult enemies where you need that extra damage.

Princess’ Sting

LOTF - Princess’ Sting

The other option here is Princess’ Sting, which rewards you for having a lighter equip load by increasing your damage all the time. I highly recommend using this one if you plan to choose to equip the lightest load. You can wear some Armor using Daggers, etc. That way, your damage is high all the time but your protection is less so it’s up to you. Do you want more damage in general or do you want more protection? You can play either way and your pendant will change depending on what setup you have.

Rings

For Rings, you want the Bloodbane Ring as I mentioned earlier. This allows you to inflict bleeding while you’re doing poison, which is part of this Lords of the Fallen Agility Build and it’s really strong. You want to get this one and it’s located in Forsaken Fen, not too far into the game.

LOTF - Yorke’s Ring

Now, for your third ring slot, you can put whatever you want. I highly recommend putting something that increases damage but a lot of those can only be obtained later on in the game. I messed around with Yorke’s Ring, which theoretically increases your frostbite damage so when this triggers, it should boost the damage that frostbite does but in my testing, it reduces the damage so I don’t think that’s working correctly. However, if that does get patched, it should significantly boost the damage of this Frostbite, Poison, Bleed Status Effect Build.

Another good choice is the Lucent Sword Ring, which boosts your damage when your health is high. Or you can use Melchior’s Ring to boost your physical damage. Another good alternative is Grayson’s Ring, which makes it so that when you’re dual-building, you have increased damage runes on Weapons.

Runes

LOTF - Dimexus

I like to use Dimexus because I gain increased physical damage while dual-wielding Weapons deal exclusively physical damage. Poison and frostbite are separate things from that so this is good. You can stack one in each dagger.

For the second Rune, I like to use the one that increases your physical damage but reduces your Strength scaling. We’re not focusing on Strength with this Lords of the Fallen Agility Build so that’s not much of a downside. And then, when you get to your third rune slot, you can use another Dimexus to further boost your damage while dual-wielding or any other rune that boosts physical damage.

Lords of the Fallen Agility Build – Attributes

Lords of the Fallen - Exiled Stalker

So jumping into the Attribute side, for starting Class, the Exiled Stalker is probably a good start. You begin with two Daggers to get into the style of dual-wielding. You’ll need to increase your Radiance and Inferno early to use Poison Weapon up to 12 each, which you can do right away and then you can start Poisoning Weapon. You won’t have the frostbite but you probably won’t need it early on.

And then, until you get these Daggers that we’re using, you can put this Lords of the Fallen Agility Build together very early on in the game. The things you need are not to Level 70, which is one of the things I like. It’s been a theme that I’ve been trying to put together even though some of the things I’m using in the late game, the general concept of the Build can start early on and it will just continue to become stronger.

Lords of the Fallen - Stats and Attributes

Attribute-wise, you’re going to want a lot of Vitality because you’re playing very aggressively and you tend to get hit particularly if you’re going the light Armor route and trying to be very light with your equip load. You don’t need a ton of Endurance with this Frostbite, Poison, Bleed Status Effect Build. Endurance is better to have a lot more of if you’re playing the light equip load but if you’re playing the way we are, you don’t need much.

Taking a look at Agility, which is the primary scaling Attribute for this Build, if you look at the Weapon, you’ll see you’re not getting a ton of damage out of it, only approximately 48 damage from the scaling at 40 Agility. But as we upgrade the Dagger more, the scaling improves and the number will go up higher.

But you don’t need a ton of Agility early on. You want to focus on getting your Radiance and Inferno in a good spot, getting your Vitality and Endurance where you want them, and then focusing on Agility. It’s not going to add too much damage to this Build but make sure to add it as you go.

Final Thoughts

Lords of the Fallen - Poison All the Way

Another thing that I want to mention is you can play a similar Build to this if you want and get rid of the Catalyst and use Poison Salts to put extra poison buildup on your Weapons. You can play this way if you prefer to free up your offhand for a Bow or free up your ranged slot for Thrown Weapons. I just found out that you’re going to go through a lot of Poison Salts playing that way, particularly early on in the game.

And you’re not going to have a lot of Vigor to spend on Poison Salts when you’re trying to level up later on in the game when you’ve already made a lot of levels, it’s a lot easier to do. If you don’t want to farm Poison Salts, then this is a much better way to do it. However if you were to min-max this Build, then using Poison Salts and having Thrown Weapons might be better.

So that wraps up my Lords of the Fallen Agility Build, hope you guys found that helpful. I think we’re going to do one or two more Builds for this game. If there’s a specific Build you’d like to see, please leave it in the comments below.

In this Lords of the Fallen Bow Build Guide, I’m going to be showing you my Blackfeather Ranger or Blackfeather Archer Build. This is an Archer Dual or Hybrid Build that leans more and more toward the archery side of things the further you get into the game. It also uses dual-wield as a backup in case you need to melee.

Lords of the Fallen Blackfeather Archer Build – Bow Build Guide

Lords of the Fallen - Blackfeather Archer Gameplay

Before we get into the exact Build itself, I want to talk a bit about how to play an Archer in Lords of the Fallen and just so you guys can get some fundamental information about how ammo and this sort of thing works.

Lords of the Fallen Blackfeather Archer Build – Character Creation

Lords of the Fallen - Blackfeather Ranger

So at the beginning of the game, I recommend picking the Blackfeather Ranger Class because this starts with the Bow and it also starts with Oak Arrows, allowing you to become familiar with the playstyle. Each time you fire one of these arrows, it’s going to cost you one ammo and remember that you have an ammo gauge under your character’s stamina gauge. Now, the amount of ammo that you have is determined by your Vitality and Endurance so the more of these you have, the more ammo you gain. So you’ll want to have decent amounts of these Attributes.

So the way you’re going to get back that ammo is by either resting in a vestige, which isn’t ideal if you’re trying to clear an area, or by using an Ammunition Pouch.  These are consumable items you can purchase at Skyrest. I highly recommend that you take your extra Vigor and stock up on these because you’ll need them particularly early on in the game. And then you’re drawing back your bow. You can either fire like a quick shot or you can hold it for a second, wait for it to flash, and then you’ll do what’s called a charged shot that deals more damage.

Ideally, you’re going to be doing charge shots more than regular shots because they deal more damage and since you have limited ammo, you’re trying to get the most bang for your buck. Now that’s not always possible depending on how combat goes but that’s what you’re going to be aiming for.

Lords of the Fallen Blackfeather Archer Build – Gameplay and Equipment

Lords of the Fallen - Blackfeather Ranger Bow

The next thing you’re going to want to take a look at is your Bow. The scaling of the Blackfeather Ranger Bow has Strength and Agility although it has much better Agility scaling than Strength. Every Bow in Lords of the Fallen either has Strength and Agility scaling or Agility scaling so you’re going to need to focus on at least one of those two Stats.

Something else you want to notice when you’re taking a look at your Bows is whether they have status effects like bleed, poison, or frost point buildup. Also, you’ll see numbers under physical damage, specifically under attack power for Holy Fire and Wither. This tells you if you’re using arrows of that specific type so if you’re using Radiant, Cinder, or Wither Arrows.

LOTF - Snipe

For instance, if your Bow says it does 35 Holy and another says 50 Holy, that Bow is going to do better with Holy Arrows than the one that has 35 and of course, the same is true for physical. If you’re using Physical Arrows and the Bow you have has more physical attack power than the Bow you’re looking at then you know that that Bow is going to do better with physical arrows like your Precision Arrows and your regular Oak Arrows.

Bow of the Convert

LOTF - Bow of the Convert

At the start of the game, you’re going to be using the Black Feather Ranger Bow because there aren’t too many available early on. The next likely Bow that you’ll be able to acquire is the Bow of the Convert, which is much better.

It has better Agility scaling, it does bleed, burn, and poison buildup with each shot although you don’t tend to use it all that much in this game because you’re trying to go for one shot one kill against regular and tough-to-kill enemies. You’ll want to kill them in two to four shots so this would be much better for a Boss but not necessarily great out on the landscape although the base damage will be higher. So you’ll probably want to switch to this.

Udirangr Shaman Bow

The next bow that you’re going to be able to pick up is the Udirangr Shaman Bow. This is a quality Bow, meaning, that it scales about the same with Strength and Agility so you could push both of those Stats and get damage out of this. It also scales pretty well with fire so you’ll gain an advantage when using Cinder Arrows.

Bow of the Mutilated

Not much further than that, you’ll get the Bow of the Mutilated anyway, which is a Bow that I’m using in my gameplay footage. What I like about the Bow of the Mutilated is it doesn’t have any status effect buildup, which you really don’t need. It has decent Agility scaling, some Strength scaling but it has higher physical, holy, fire, and wither than all the Bows I just mentioned so it’s really good with basically any arrows you’re going to use up to this point of the game. And I highly recommend switching over to it. You’ll notice a damage increase immediately once you get it upgraded.

Arrows

Lords of the Fallen - Precision Arrows

The arrows that I’m using for this Lords of the Fallen Blackfeather Archer Build are Cinder, Poison, and Precision Arrows. There are other ones available further into the game. You also have access to Oak Arrows, which is what you’ll start with. But you’ll sub those out when you have the three arrows I’ve talked about. So Cinder Arrows will replace Oak Arrows and you’ll gain Poison Arrows almost immediately after entering Forsaken Fen. You’ll then gain Precision Arrows on the backside of the same location after the Hushed Saint Boss fight.

You won’t use Poison Arrows all that often but they’re good against tough-to-kill enemies to rip off some damage over time with poison like against Bosses. If you’re co-oping something, they’re not a bad option but they do cost two ammo. Don’t think it’s worth it for regular ammo on the landscape or on the other side of things.

Lords of the Fallen - Cinder Arrows

Precision Arrows in Lords of the Fallen are much better for trash mobs because they’re going to give you extra damage when you use charged shot. You also deal more damage than the Oak Arrows natively anyway and they still only cost two ammo. So you’re going to be using Oak Arrows for a huge portion of the game until you gain your Cinder Arrows in order to try and kill things in one hit or to deal as much damage as possible with one shot by charging up your Bow. You’ll gain these at Lower Calrath and these things hit like an absolute truck.

And again, you want to use a Bow with these like the one we’re using that does significant damage with Fire Arrows because it’s essentially what we’re using. This does a lot of physical and fire damage and costs three ammo per shot so you don’t want to waste them on trash enemies. But you definitely want to use it on your hard-to-kill enemies such as Sorceresses, Ruiners, or Naga Archers or the ones with crossbows since they are really a pain in the ass. I cannot stress enough how much of a game-changer these Cinder Arrows are so you’re absolutely going to want to get them.

Armor and Rings

Lords of the Fallen - Blackfeather Ranger Armor

If you look at our Armor, you’ll notice I’m only wearing a chest piece here, specifically the Blackfeather Ranger Armor. This is because I want to keep our equip weight low since we’re using the Princess’ Sting Pendant, which increases your damage the lower your equip load is. So the less you have equipped on your character, the more damage you’re going to do. This also applies to your Bows and Crossbows to further boost your range and melee damage.

Lords of the Fallen - Princess Sting

On top of that, I have the Blackfeather Ranger Ring, which increases your damage with the same two Weapons. You’ll gain this after you give the first rune tablet to the blacksmith. If you rest, go back, and talk to her, you should be able to purchase this ring from her. This will further boost your range damage, which is great.

And then I also have Mineowner’s Ring. This is good for stamina and stamina regeneration. You use a lot of stamina with this Blackfeather Archer Build with your Bow as you fire arrows. The same is true when you’re dual-wielding and use a lot of dodging. You can sub this one out for anything you like. Really, the other two are the ones I super recommend for this Bow Build.

Weapons

LOTF - Hallowed Praise

If you look at the Weapons, I’m using two Hallowed Praise because they have bleed buildup and they scale very well with Agility, which works fantastically for this Build. You can only get one in a playthrough but if another player drops you one, you can get it. This is dropped in Pilgrim’s Perch

If you don’t have someone to drop you one, you could also use Hallowed Condemnation, which is available in the very beginning area of the game in the Abandoned Redcopse. Now, Hallowed Condemnation is arguably better for what we’re trying to do in the long run although it’s worse earlier and that’s because it has a Strength Rune Slot for its second rune slot and I’ll talk a little bit about why rune slots are important for this particular Build.

Lords of the Fallen - Aelstrix

There is a really good Strength Rune called Aelstrix, which essentially once slotted into your Weapon, increases the damage of Ranged and Throwable Weapons. This will apply to your Bows and Crossbows. Unfortunately, the Hallowed Praise Weapon does not have a Strength Rune Slot whereas the Hallowed Condemnation does on the second slot but you won’t be able to get that for quite a ways into Lords of the Fallen so it’s not super important early on.

Once you’re able to slot runes into your Hallowed Knight Sword, you could theoretically slot one in each of your swords, getting you 2x the increase in the damage dealt by Ranged and Throwable Weapons. Now the problem with this is that your melee damage will suffer and the reason is that both Hallowed Praise and Hallowed Condemnation, have bleeding on them.

Lords of the Fallen - Damage Comparison

Bleeding not only deals extra damage to the enemy but also makes them vulnerable to physical damage so as you continue to strike them with your physical attacks, they’re going to continue to take more and more damage, which is really, really nice. And then you can keep retriggering bleed. But going back, you’ll have weaker melee if you go with a double Hallowed Knight Sword setup.

If you’re more ranged-focused where you engage in co-op sessions to help players with their Bosses and you just want to hang back and range them down with your Bow, then this setup is best for you. If you’re playing alone though, you’ll have to melee sometimes so it can be a problem. Your melee will suffer if you don’t have one of those two Weapons or a Weapon that has bleed on it.

Lords of the Fallen - Hallowed Knight Sword

What I really like about the Hallowed Knight Sword is that it also has Strength for its third slot so eventually, you’ll be able to four-stack these if you get four of them. You’ll be able to have even more ranged damage so again, your melee will suffer but your ranged damage will be even higher. Remember that it’s not that important at this point in the game because we only have one rune slot but you would be able to get two of them if you use two Hallowed Knight Swords.

As you progress in Lords of the Fallen and you’re able to get more rune slots, the Hallowed Condemnation becomes better than the Hallowed Praise because that second slot is a Strength Sllot that you can drop these into. You can still have bleed on your Weapons and be able to use two of these and that’s even better than using the Hallowed Praise.

Lords of the Fallen Blackfeather Archer Build – Attributes

Lords of the Fallen - Stats Explained

So if you look at our Stats for this Lords of the Fallen Blackfeather Archer Build, I have 13 Strength, 40 Agility, 26 Endurance, 22 Vitality, and 8 Radiance and Inferno so obviously, we don’t need Radiance and Inferno anymore since we’re not casting Spells. Strength is there to meet the requirements for the Bow since it has a 13 Strength requirement as most Bows do.

And then we cranked Agility with this Bow because it scales really well with Agility but if you were using a different Bow like the quality one I mentioned earlier, which is the Udirangr Shaman Bow, you could split this between Strength and Agility to get better damage. Next, Endurance and Vitality are important. If you’re playing a predominantly Ranged Build, Vitality is not as important as with a Melee Build but you do get extra ammo from this Attribute so it’s worth putting points into. It also helps keep you alive.

Endurance not only gives you more ammo but also increases your stamina, which is great since you use a lot of this resource. It’ll also increase your equip load and since we’re using a necklace that ups your damage the lower the equip load is, you have that double whammy. So you’re going to get more ammo out of it and you’re also going to increase your damage because of the pendant we’re using.

So if you’re playing this Lords of the Fallen Blackfeather Archer Build at a lower level, I’d probably take some points out of Agility by bumping this down to 30 and spread out my points between Agility, Endurance, and Vitality. And then, when I’m confident with my survivability, I’d start cranking up Agility to get my damage up to where you’re one-shotting regular trash and two or three-shotting difficult enemies with Cinder Arrows. So that’s your measure for success. You want to be able to one-shot regular ranged enemies and then maybe two or three-shot some of the tougher melee targets.

Final Thoughts

So that wraps up my Blackfeather Ranger Archer Build, I hope you guys found this useful and gave you some information about how to play an Archer in this game. There are obviously better Bows and arrow types you can get later on, and eventually, you’ll actually be able to get an Umbral Eye, which makes it so that instead of using ammo, you take wither damage when you shoot with your Bow so you won’t have ammo problems further on into the game once you have this.

So for this stretch of the game, you’ll have to use consumables like an Ammo Satcher or something similar so it’s a good idea to help a couple of players to stock up on extra Vigor and then buy a bunch of these.

As always, if you have tips for other players or questions, please leave them in the comments. I’ll try and get to them as soon as I can. We do have more Build Guides coming for Lords of the Fallen so stay tuned for that.

In this Lords of the Fallen Build Guide, I’m going to be showing you my Death Knight Build. This is a midgame Build that focuses on using Inferno and Radiance together with a Catalyst that casts umbral magic, wither damage, and physical damage.

Lords of the Fallen Death Knight Build – Umbral Wither Build Guide

Lords of the Fallen - Death Knight Gameplay

So let’s take a look at the Sword we’re using for this Lords of the Fallen Death Knight Build. We’re using the Rosamund’s Sword, which is a Longsword so it’s somewhere between a Short Sword and Grand Sword. It swings kind of in the middle in terms of attack speed and does decent damage. Half of its damage is physical, half is wither. The Rosamund’s Sword has some decent requirements in Strength and Agility, Radiance and Inferno in order to use and scales with all four Attributes.

Lords of the Fallen - Rosamund’s Sword

It also does frostbite buildup on each swing. Frostbite sort of builds up until it triggers like a damage explosion and also reduces the target’s stamina by half. This is particularly good if you’re fighting another player. Although the Death Knight Build is not PVP-oriented specifically but if you happen to get invaded that’s really good against them.

Now some people might be wondering why wither damage? When you look at enemies and hit them with wither damage, you’ll see their bar go white. And then, you need to connect again in order to rip off that wither health just like it would happen if it was happening to you. You might think that this involves extra steps and in some cases, you may be right. But what wither damage is really good at doing is dealing with umbral enemies.

When you’re in the Umbral Realm and you’re fighting the creatures there, most of them are weak to wither damage which are normally resistant to just about every other type of damage, making it very strong.

Lords of the Fallen - Rosamund’s Sword In Action

Now the trick about Rosamund’s Sword it’s not available until probably a good 10 hours into Lords of the Fallen so you’re going to have to use something else in the meantime. I recommend using any Weapon that has high base damage, which doesn’t have great scaling in order to deal more damage unless it’s Inferno or Radiance scaling. This is because it’s hard to find any other Weapon earlier in the game that scales with either of them so it doesn’t matter too much what you initially use since you’re not really putting points into Strength and Agility.

Lords of the Fallen Death Knight Build – Gameplay and Other Equipment

Lords of the Fallen - Pale Eye Shield

Now for our Shield, I have the Pale Eye Shield, which is acquired very early on in Pilgrim’s Purge. It has requirements of Radiance and Inferno that are great because these are the things we’re focusing on for this Lords of the Fallen Death Knight Build. And I’ve socketed it with two ruins – the first one can be obtained in the Sunless Skein that basically gives you Mana regeneration over time every time you cast your Spells. Meanwhile, the other one provides you with Health regeneration over time so if you take a little bit of chip damage here and there, it’s not the end of the world.

Lords of the Fallen - Charm of Fortune's Sight

Now for the Catalyst, I’m using the one that you can buy from Molhu. Charm of Fortune’s Sight has decent spellpower alongside four Spell slots and it’s a little ways into the game before you can gain another one of these. So by the time you do get a second version, you’re probably going to have your first one upgraded and because of this, I don’t see a lot of point in switching.

Lords of the Fallen Death Knight Build – Spells

Lords of the Fallen - Umbral Orb

And for Spells, I’m using Umbral Orb, which is your go-to Ranged Spell since it’s predominantly cheap. It’s really good at dealing with pesky ranged enemies that you can’t reach and it’s a nice option to have.

LOTF - Umbral Weapon

Next, I have Umbral Weapon to further buff your Weapon with more damage, particularly wither damage so when you hit enemies or other players, you’re going to be dealing more damage. This is a good buff early on in the game but you might substitute this for Poison Weapon in order to do poison buildup. It’s much better against a Boss rather than regular enemies so you’ll want to use the Umbral Weapon instead.

LOTF - Latimer's Javelin

So I also have Latimer’s Javelin, which is an Umbral Spell that you get from defeating The Hushed Saint and buying it from Molhu from his remembrance. This functions similarly to a Ranged Spell that does AOE on impact. It’s really nice for dealing with groups of enemies because you’ll be able to deal high damage by just trying to pick them off real quick. I highly recommend this one if you can get it.

And then I also really like Umbral Guardian and what this does is it summons a giant eye that follows you around for 20-30 seconds. It constantly inflicts wither damage to nearby enemies and this can even deal with them at a much farther distance than you would think. But it’s really good when you’re fighting tough targets or groups because it helps thin them out a bit or soften them up.

Lords of the Fallen Death Knight Build – Armor and Accessories

Lords of the Fallen - Angel of the Void Armor Set

For Armor, I’m using the Angel of the Void Set. You can find this not too far into the game in the Fen area in a chest in the Umbral Realm. The set is really awesome-looking because it makes you appear like a Skeletor so it fits the Death Knight theme. It also has decent protection. But remember that the Armor you use for this Lords of the Fallen Death Knight Build is not particularly important since you can use whatever you want.

For Necklace, I’m using the Faceless Carving, which increases your wither damage and wither defense. You really want to crank this damage type and lean into it when you’re fighting against enemies so you can rip off huge chunks of Health. At the same time, I also have the Mineowner’s Ring. This increases max stamina and stamina regeneration. If you look at our Stats, you’ll notice we don’t have a ton of Endurance for this Build and that’s kind of a weak spot so it’s important to get additional stamina to swing, block, and dodge more while increasing stamina regeneration.

And then I’m also using Ring of Night’s Fire, which further boosts fire and wither damage. Again, we’re focusing on wither damage for this Build but you could use something else that boosts physical damage or just damage in general.

Lords of the Fallen Death Knight Build – Character Creation

LOTF - Character Creation - Putrid Child

So when you’re taking a look at what starting Class to play this Death Knight Build with, the Putrid Child would be ideal. It’s perfect because of their Stat distribution but if you’re playing for your first playthrough and you don’t have that unlocked yet, you probably want to take either the Pyric Cultist or Orian Preacher to have high starting Radiance or Inferno. It’s not super important which Class you select though because most of them have a pretty even Stat distribution.

You’ll notice that you need 13 Strength and 13 Agility just to meet the requirements of the Weapon we’re using so you can probably do this with just about any Class.

LOTF - Death Knight Combat

Generally, the strategy that I employ with this Lords of the Fallen Death Knight Build is kind of similar to how I play my Paladin Build except that we have different buffs and Spells. You’re going to want to try and keep Umbral Weapon up all the time to buff your damage constantly to hit as hard as possible. Whenever you run out of this, you’ll want to rebuff with it. And because you have Mana regeneration on your Shield, you should be back at full Mana every time you cast this.

As I mentioned earlier, you’ll have Poison Weapon to use on specific Bosses because it ticks hard in this game. And then you’ll use Umbral Orb as your Ranged Spell if an enemy is too far away and you can’t get to them. Remember that your Mana is going to regenerate but you might have to replenish it manually, and sometimes, using Mana Stone. Another reason why I like Umbral Orb is it pierces its first target so it can go in a line through a bunch of enemies.

Lords of the Fallen Death Knight Build – Attributes

Lords of the Fallen - Attribute Sample

So talking a bit about Stat distribution, you’ll notice we have 13 Strength and 13 Agility to meet the requirements of the Weapon that we’re using. This scales with both Attributes so you can increase them at some point to deal more damage. And then, you could theoretically use a different Shield because of your Strength score.

Next, we have Endurance only at 13 and the reason why it’s so low is due to the other things that we need to invest points into such as Vitality. Vitality is good because you’re playing a Melee Build first and a Ranged Build second so you’re going to get hit periodically and if you have a low Health pool, you’re going to die real fast.

And then we have 22 points in Radiance and Inferno to meet the requirements for Umbral Guardian and there will be more Umbral Spells that you’ll want which have at least this much. But you’ll eventually want to increase this to boost the damage of your Weapon due to the scaling. So you really have a lot of room to grow with this Umbral Wither Build.

This would probably be phenomenal in a new game plus run where you can take your Radiance and Inferno up to 40 and then crank up your Strength, Agility, and Endurance to gain even more damage out of your Weapon. These will also allow you to wear heavier Armor and have more stamina.

Obviously, there are other Spells that you can use with this Build besides the ones that I recommended because they’re just good early on in the game. There are other Spells you can get from remembrances and stuff like that. I tried some of them but they didn’t work as great for me.

Past the midpoint of the game, you’ll discover more Umbral Spells, which I suggest you try to see if they incorporate well into your playstyle.

Final Thoughts

Lords of the Fallen - Closing

So that wraps up the Death Knight Build, which is a ton of fun to play. I’ve been invaded a couple of times using this Build and it absolutely owns in PvP because people are not prepared for the frostbite that’s really, really effective at dealing burst damage, particularly against those with low stamina. They’re also unprepared for the wither damage. And you’re quite tanky here on top of having a lot of ranged options.

As always, if you have tips for other players and questions, leave them in the comments. We will do more Builds like a primarily Bow Build coming up. If there’s something that you guys want to see, let me know as well.

In this Lords of the Fallen Build Guide, I’m going to be showing you my Seismic Sorcerer Build. This is a Pyromancer Build aimed at the middle part of the game and I’ll explain why. However, a big shout out to Hexworks Studios and CI Games for sponsoring this article. If you guys are picking up the game or considering it, remember to use our link below to support the channel.

Lords of the Fallen Pyromancer Build Guide (2023)

Lords of the Fallen - Pyromancer Gameplay

If you’ve been playing Lords of the Fallen or you’re just starting out, you’re going to notice pretty quickly that there are not too many Pyromancy or Inferno Spells available at the beginning compared to Radiant and Umbral Spells, which are immediately available at Skyrest. So you’re going to be wondering where to get more Spells and how to put a Pyromancer Build together. So part of this Build is showing you how to do those.

Lords of the Fallen Pyromancer Build – Seismic Sorcerer Character Creation

If you’re playing a Pyromancer, you’ll probably want to start as the Pyric Cultist Class. This will give you 18 Inferno to start with, which is fantastic because you’ll need a lot of Inferno for this Build. You’re also going to gain a Spell Infernal Orb that allows you to range down enemies. What I really like about this Spell is it has a bit of an arc to it.

Lords of the Fallen - Character Creation

If you play a Radiant Build or start as an Orian Preacher and you’re using Radiant Flare, you’ll notice that it goes in a straight line from where you cast it. Sometimes it’ll hit the lip of enemies that are higher up and not actually damage them whereas the orb kind of arcs up so it’s always going to hit them over. So you’ll have a less difficult time connecting with this Spell than you do with Radiant Flare.

Now if you didn’t choose this starting Class, it’s not a big deal because you’ll need some other attributes for this Build. You’ll need some Endurance, Vitality, and a little bit of Agility, which is optional, so it doesn’t really matter if you started differently. You’ll always have to improve your Inferno much more quickly if you choose a different Class though.

LOTF Pyromancer Build – Spells

So the first thing you’re going to want to do no matter what Pyromancy Build you’re playing is you’re going to want to free the tortured prisoner and she is located out on Pilgrim’s Perch. If you go in that direction and go down, and then go back across to head up to the lift, there’s an area where you need to find the Skyrest Bridge Key. Once you get ahold of it and open the doors to go up some stairs, you’ll find her locked in a cell. She’ll need an item, which is called the Searing Accusation, in order to set her free.

Lords of the Fallen - Searing Accusation

The Searing Accusation is a catalyst for Pyromancies and is a little bit stronger than the one you begin the game with in terms of scaling even though its base spell power is a bit lower. The higher your Inferno goes, the more this will shine over the base one but you need to find this. There’s an Umbral puzzle not too far from where she is down the stairs. You need to solve that to get the item.

If you give the Searing Accusation to her and then rest, she’s going to be gone. You’ll then find her in front of the Pieta fight. She’ll be standing there and you can buy a catalyst from her if you don’t have one as well as some Pyromancies.

LOTF Pyromancer Build – Equipment

In terms of Weapon you’ll want to use for this Inferno Sorcery Build early on, you can use The Mangler Axes. I like to dual-wield with this Build so you can use two of them if you can get two drops or you can find one and then get another drop. I think there’s one lying on the map at the beginning of Lords of the Fallen. These are not hard to get. They scale decently with Inferno for early-game Weapons and this will get you in the habit of the two-handed or dual-wield move set rather together.

Lords of the Fallen - Bloodlust

Later on in the game, we’re going to pick up Bloodlust, which is in Fitzroy’s Gorge. This location is a decent way in and we’re also going to pick up the Axe of the Flayed. What I really like about these is they have decent Inferno scaling and they deal physical and fire damage as well as bleed buildup on them. I like bleed buildup because it rips off a chunk of health on enemies that you’re hitting but not all of them bleed.

Lords of the Fallen - Axe of the Flayed

Not all enemies can burn either but for some reason, I feel like bleeding is more effective in Lords of the Fallen than burning just because the damage it does is better. So it’ll lead into the same playstyle that you’ve probably started with if you’re using The Mangler Axes but you’ll just be more effective.

I’m also using the Pirate Cultist Armor for this Lords of the Fallen Pyromancer Build, which is what they start with. You can change this to whatever you want like something heavier that’s still in the medium roll range that would be better. Or you could even take off a little bit in light roll if you’d prefer. Armor is not super important for this Build. You could use the Infernal Enchantress if you still want to stay in the Fire Realm. Or maybe you could use some of the Ruiner Armor if you want something heavier.

LOTF Pyromancer Build – More Spells

Lords of the Fallen - Adyr's Rage

Another good Spell that you can pick up a little ways into the game past this part is Adyr’s Rage, which is going to buff your physical damage so even though you do some physical and fire damage, it’s going to increase your damage when you’re fighting. Adyr’s Rage is just good against difficult enemies or boss fights to give you a little extra damage.

To get a couple of other Spells that I like to use for this Build, you’re going to have to go ways into the game and you’re going to have to get through the Spurned Progeny boss fight. Once you do this and if you go back to the tortured prisoner to talk to her, she’ll actually sell you back the catalyst you gave her earlier. Then you can use that, equip and upgrade it, which is a little bit better than the starting one.

If you’re upgrading the starting one, you can stay with that. There’s not a huge difference between them so it’s not a big deal but once you do that, you’re going to be able to buy Seismic Slam from her. Seismic Slam is a game-changer in this game. From my testing, it sends out fire and physical damage in a line to knock enemies backward whereas others will be knocked down.

But what’s really, really great about this Spell is it gives you a really nice AOE option from long range. Also, if you can get an enemy up against a wall and then use this a little bit in front of them, all the things on the ground will pop up directly under them to deal tons of damage since it stacks. So you want to try and get targets into a position where there’s a wall behind them to decimate them.

The only drawback is it’s a very mana-hungry Spell so you’ll have to use consumables to replenish your mana. As you’re playing at higher levels, this shouldn’t be a huge deal. These are not hard to come by since they drop in places easily to be able to farm them. You can also buy them from merchants.

If you’re using the Searing Accusation, you’ll have four slots so you can use something like Lava Burst or Magma Surge. Lava Surge is like a bigger fireball that has more of an AOE explosion but costs more mana. It’s decent in some situations but I find that Seismic Slam is usually just better, otherwise, you can use Magma Surge. Magma Surge is somewhat hard because the enemy has to stay in it in order for it to deal damage or set it on fire. It’s good against big or large creatures that tend to stay in place.

LOTF - Rhogar's Delight

For the necklace, I like Rhogar’s Delight because it increases your fire damage and fire defense. Most of your Spells spells deal fire damage as well as your Weapons so this is really good to boost your damage. You can buy this from the tortured prisoner again after defeating the Spurned Progeny.

For rings, the first one I like is Puissance Root to increase the power of your sorceries and your magic damage. You can also get this from the tortured prisoner again after defeating the Spurned Progeny. The second one is the Ring of Night’s Fire, which further boosts your fire and wither damage with this Build. The more fire damage you have, the better because it helps boost Weapon attacks and Spells. You’ll find this one in Fitzroy’s Gorge.

LOTF Pyromancer Build – Stats

LOTF - Attributes

So attribute-wise at around Level 50 or 55, you’re going to have most of your points in Inferno to boost the damage of your Weapons and Spells, also for added mana. I started as the Orian Preacher so my Radiance is fairly high but if you just imagine that those points were out of Radiance and in Inferno instead, you’ll be much stronger. You can’t have too much Inferno. There’s a soft cap of about 40 where your mana starts to not creep up as high. You go from seven or eight mana so you might want to be a little bit cautious after you hit 40 Inferno.

And then you can start pumping Endurance and Vitality. You probably want at least 25 Vitality maybe 30. For Endurance, you don’t really need a ton if you’re not engaging in Melee Combat as much as you have to. You’ll stay at range and use Seismic Slam to range things down and then engage one-on-one as needed.

The Agility here is really to just meet the requirements of Bloodlust but you may not need that depending on what Weapon you’re choosing. I do like the dual-wield setup here and unfortunately, you only get one of these axes so you can’t dual-wield both.

Lords of the Fallen Pyromancer Build – Final Thoughts

LOTF - Pyromancy!

So that wraps up my Seismic Sorcerer Build. I hope it showed you guys how you can play a Pyromancer Build in this game early on. Although it’s kind of hard since there aren’t a lot of Pyromancies or catalysts to choose from at the beginning. Also, there aren’t a lot of items that boost damage until you get through the Spurned Progeny boss fight.

So for those of you who want to play a Pyromancer, stick it out and know that that stuff is coming. Obviously, there will be more Pyromancies later on to add to this Build.

Stay tuned for more Lords of the Fallen Builds. We will have a Death Knight Build, an Umbral-focused Build, and a Range Build based on an Archer or something like that. If you have suggestions for Builds you want to see, leave them in the comments below.

The post Lords of the Fallen Paladin Build Guide (2023) appeared first on Fextralife.

In this Lords of the Fallen Paladin Build Guide (2023), I’ll be showing you a beginner Paladin Build that you can use to get off to a great start. I’ll be covering which Class to select, which Weapons and Armor to use, which Spells to slot and what Amulet and Rings to acquire. If you’ve been looking for a solid Lords of the Fallen Paladin Build Guide, then look no further!

Lords of the Fallen Paladin Build Guide (2023)

The general concept of this Lords of the Fallen Paladin Build, is to give you high protection via good Armor and a Shield, to give you good damage through an appropriate weapon and a spell that buffs your damage, and to give you utility via Radiant Spells. This is an extremely beginner-friendly Lords of the Fallen Build, and one that can be put together very quickly.

Lords of the Fallen - Paladin
Paladins can be built using any of the starting classes making for flexible build

LOTF Paladin Build – Starting Class

There are really 3 choices of starting Class for this Lords of the Fallen Paladin Build, and those are Hallowed Knight, Orian Preacher, and if you have the Deluxe Edition, Dark Crusader. You can use any one of these and put this Build together.

Hallowed Knight

Starts with better Armor and a better Shield than the Orian Preacher, but a worse weapon, no Catalyst, no spells and much lower Radiance. This means if you select this Class, once you get to Skyrest Bridge you must buy a Catalyst, the Orian Preacher Hammer, spells, and must focus on increasing your Radiance to meet spell requirements.

Orian Preacher Hammer - Lords of the Fallen
Orian Preacher Hammer

Orian Preacher

Starts with the best weapon, a Catalyst and one spell, and has very high Radiance, which will meet the requirements for early game spells. Will need to purchase Hallowed Knights Set and Partisan Shield in Skyrest Bridge, which is slightly worse than the Hallowed Knight Shield. Will also need to focus on Endurance to use this Armor and Shield and not “fat roll”.

Partisan Shield - Lords of the Fallen
Partisan Shield

Dark Crusader

Starts with the best Armor protection of all three Classes, and the Paladin’s Pendant, boosting Strength and Endurance. Will need to purchase the Orian Preacher Hammer, Partisan Shield, Catalyst and Spells when you get to Skyrest Bridge. It will also need to increase Radiance in order to meet spell requirements, though not as much as Hallowed Knight.

Paladin's Pendant - Lords of the Fallen
Paladin’s Pendant

LOTF Paladin Build – Equipment

Paladin Weapon – Orian Preacher Hammer

The weapon I’m using for this Build is the Orian Preacher Hammer, which is the starting weapon of the Orian Preacher Class, though you can buy it from Exacter Dunmire in Skyrest Bridge if you didn’t start with that Class.

What I like about this weapon is that it scales with both Strength and Radiance (more so with Radiance), and it does really good damage to early game enemies and most enemies in general thanks to its Physical and Holy Damage.

Its moveset allows you to hit enemies behind you while attacking enemies in front of you, due to its slight backswing when pressing R1. And it’s running R2 is absolutely devastating, and hits in a wide AoE, perfect for clearing trash.

Paladin Armor – Fitzroy’s Armor Set

Early on in the game you’ll be aiming for any high level Armor Set. If you begin with Hallowed Knight, this is fine until you gain Fitzroy’s Armor Set in Fitzroy’s Gorge. If you began with Dark Crusader, you can use the Paladin Set it comes with just fine. If you have started with Orian Preacher, you can buy the Hallowed Knight Set in Skyrest Bridge when you arrive.

These Armor Sets give you a ton of protection which helps you stay alive, and not need to focus as much on Vitality early on as some other Builds need to. Just make sure you have enough Endurance to be in the Medium Encumbrance range, ideally at the very top of this range since you will likely have more protection if you have heavier armor.

Paladin Catalyst – Agony’s Light

The Catalyst we’ll be using for this Build is Agony’s Light. You can acquire this from defeating Ardent Penitent enemies in Pilgrim’s Perch, which are the spikey head guys that headbutt you.

This Catalyst has 3 slots but much more Spellpower than the Orian Preacher Catalyst. It has one less Spell Slot than Wilmarc’s Catalyst which you can also get early on, but I find you only really need about 3 spells early on, and Wilmarc’s has much lower Spellpower as well.

Paladin Amulet – Empyrean Pendant

The Empyrean Pendant further boosts your Holy Damage by about 10% or so, and both your Weapon and Spells deal Holy Damage. You want to keep your damage high with this Lords of the Fallen Paladin Build in order to kill things quickly and this is one way we do it. You can buy this from Exacter Dunmire after you’ve advanced the game a good ways.

Relic of Perpetuation is also a good choice earlier on for more Health. This will help keep you alive and let you focus more on Radiance to up your damage. If you have the Paladin Pendant from Dark Crusader, you can stick with that too if you want.

Paladin Rings – Mineowner’s Ring & Ring of Duty

Both of these Rings can be acquired extremely early on in the game. The Mineowner’s Ring is near the second Vestige of the game, and the Ring of Duty can be purchased in Skyrest Bridge when you arrive.

These increase your Stamina, Stamina Recovery and further boost Vitality and Endurance. These make you more effective in combat, and help with Blocking, Dodging and Attacking. The added Vitality and Endurance means you can spend time on more levels, increasing Radiance for more damage and to meet other spell requirements.

LOTF Paladin Build – Spells

There are a few good spells for this Build early on in the game, so we’ll get into what those are, but feel free to mix and match as you find better ones.

Radiant Flare

This is a good spell that comes in handy when there is a pesky ranged enemy annoying you, or that you just can’t get to in order to melee it. You use it far less than you think, but it’s extremely nice to have when you need it. The damage of this spell will continue to increase with the Spellpower of your Catalyst.

Radiant Weapon

This is your weapon buff spell, and it adds Holy Damage to your attacks for a decent amount of time. It’s not super expensive Mana-wise, but it’s not cheap either, so use it when you know you will be fighting if possible. You should always have this on when fighting if possible. As you increase your Radiance you’ll gain more Mana, making this easier to use for longer stretches. Note that the damage of Radiant Weapon is based only on your Radiance Stat, not your Catalyst or Catalyst Upgrade.

Blessed Reflections

This is an extremely good spell that can melee enemies or attack them from range (which is how I suggest using it). It summons two angels that attack your target, and provides significant burst damage. You can acquire this from the Remembrance of Pieta at Molhu after giving him the Bowl of Revelations, which is found in Pilgrim’s Perch. Its damage increases with your Catalyst’s Spellpower.

Aura of Tenacity

This spell buffs your defense significantly as long as you have the Mana for it (your co-op partner’s too). It will continuously consume your Mana until you have none left, making it very situational. Consider slotting this for Boss fights, when you need a little extra defense in place of Radiant Flare or Blessed Reflections.

LOTF Paladin Build – Stats

At level 50 your Stat spread for this Lords of the Fallen Paladin Build should look something like this:

  • STR – 13
  • AGI – 8
  • END – 16
  • VIT – 26
  • RAD – 34
  • INF – 8

Those don’t need to be exact, but you can see here we prioritize Vitality to keep us alive and to be able to absorb some hits, and Radiance to boost spell damage, melee damage, and to meet requirements for Spells. Strength is only there to meet Shield Requirements, so this my fluctuate based on which Shield you use or find, and Endurance is just enough to use the equipment we are using and not fat roll. This might also fluctuate a bit based on your exact setup.

From here you will continue to increase END, VIT and RAD as necessary, only increasing STR for a better Shield, OR if you find a STR/RAD weapon that you like more that has better STR scaling.

LOTF Paladin Build – Final Tips

Utilize your running R2 attack, and avoid using running R1. Running R1 actually does less damage than a normal R1, so should be avoided at all costs if possible. Conversely, running R2 does way more damage than a regular R1 attack, and you should get into the habit of using it to begin combat.

Remember that Blocking still gives you Wither Damage, and that you need to hit enemies quickly after receiving it to regain Health. The longer you wait, the more likely it is that you will be hit, and lose all that Health. Still get in the habit of Blocking when you need to, it’s better than just straight-up taking a hit.

Feel free to experiment with other Spells. You will meet the requirements for all of them with this Build, and they are usually pretty cheap to buy from Exacter Dunmire. New Spells usually show up in his inventory as you progress the game, so check back often, and don’t forget to check Remembrances at Molhu for Spells too.

Lastly, ALWAYS use your Radiant Weapon Spell! This thing gives you tons of damage, and even if an enemy is resistant to Holy Damage, it still adds damage so use it. Try to always, always, always fight with it on, and rebuff before it runs out if you have to. You can use Manastones to replenish Mana if you need to.

Lords of the Fallen Ultimate Beginners Guide covering damage types,…

The post Lords of the Fallen Ultimate Beginners Guide appeared first on Fextralife.

In this Lords of the Fallen Ultimate Beginners Guide, we’ll be walking you through many mechanics that you might not be aware of and well as provide some helpful tips to get you started. These include what Attributes you should prioritize, how to respec your character, how to upgrade your equipment early on, how to tell if enemies are resistant or weak to your damage type, and what Vestige Seeds are and how to get more of them. If you’re new to Lords of the Fallen, and need a bit of help, then this Lords of the Fallen Beginners Guide is for you!

Lords of the Fallen Ultimate Beginners Guide

Lords of the Fallen can be overwhelming when you first begin. Not only is the game massive, but you are thrown a ton of tutorial information right away, and not all of it is retained by the player due to the quantity. Then you’re essentially left to your own devices, trying to figure it all out on your own. Not to worry though, because we have a lot of helpful information for you, and there is an absolute ton of information on the Official Wiki as well. Let’s start with Attributes first, since this is probably one of the first things you’ll be wondering. Note that if you need help choosing a starting Class, we have a whole separate guide covering that, so I suggest you check that out!

  • Attributes – Where to spend your points early on
  • How to Respec – Is it unlimited?
  • Vigor – How do I store it for later?
  • Posture – What is it? And why is it important?
  • Damage – How can I tell if enemies are weak or resistant to may damage type?
  • Healing – How do I get more healing items?
  • How to Upgrade your equipment – and what is scaling?
  • Magic – How do I get more spells?
  • Vestige Seeds – What do they do? And how do I get more?
  • Boss Weapons – How do I get them?
  • NPCs – How do their quests work? How often should I talk to them?
  • Shrines – What are they? And how do I use them?

Attributes – What do I Improve First?

Lords of the Fallen is a tough game, and one of the things you will notice immediately upon playing is that enemies hit extremely hard, and it’s easy to die in just a couple of hits. For this reason, I highly recommend you improve Vitality early on until you have enough Health that you are not dying as quickly.

Sanguinarix, the game’s healing item, heals you for a percentage of your max Health, not a fixed amount of healing. This makes it so increasing your max Health doesn’t come with the drawback of having a high max Health, but not healing much of it when you use a Sanguinarix.

Lords of the Fallen - Health
Health

Additionally, the damage you will gain by pumping Strength or Agility early on is negligible due to the poor scaling of early game Weapons, and I recommend only putting enough points into these to meet weapon (or Shield) requirements and then focusing on Vitality. The same is true for Inferno and Radiance as well, except in this case you’ll want to meet the requirements for any spells you want to use, and then focus Vitality for a bit.

How do I Respec in Lords of the Fallen?

After placing a few Attribute Points in Lords of the Fallen, you might be wondering if you can respec your character, and if so how do you do it? And how often can you do it? So let’s dive into that a bit.

Players can respec at Pieta, located in Skyrest Bridge, using the “Reset Build” option. To do this you will need the Rebirth Chrysalis item, and you can purchase one of these from Molhu (also located in Skyrest Bridge), after progressing the game a little ways.

Pieta - NPC - Lords of the Fallen
Pieta

You will find two others as you explore Lords of the Fallen, much further into the game. After acquiring them you will be able to exchange for as many of these items as you wish, at the Shrine of the Putrid Mother in Skyrest Bridge. This makes respeccing only viable for players very far into the game, and so you should plan accordingly.

How to Bank Your Vigor for Later in Lords of the Fallen

Typically, Souls-like games don’t have an option to allow you to store your currency so that you don’t drop it when you die, but Lords of the Fallen has a mechanic that allows you to do this. This can very much help new players that are struggling to keep their Vigor, and those that don’t yet know how they wish to spend it.

Molhu - Lords of the Fallen
Molhu

To do this you need to seek out Molhu, located in the Umbral Realm version of Skyrest Bridge, and purchase Vigor Skulls from him. These are consumable items that can be consumed to give you Vigor, and these work similarly to the Coin Purse of Sekiro. Only here they cost much more Vigor to purchase then you get back by consuming them (double). So you have to decide if it’s worth doing or not for you, and whether you don’t mind losing some Vigor to preserve essentially half for later.

Posture – What is it? And why is it Important?

Posture is a stagger mechanic that allows players to do what are called Grievous Strikes on enemies once their Posture has been depleted. You can see the Posture of an enemy by looking at the ring around the lock on, and you’ll notice that the more you hit and parry them, the more of the ring vanishes.

Once this ring is completely gone you can either Parry, Kick or Charged Heavy Attack them to knock them down and perform a Grievous Strike by pressing Light Attack near them. This does substantial damage, and is a great way to deal with difficult-to-kill enemies. You can also often hit them while they are getting up from the Grievous Strike, allowing for even more free damage.

Enemy Weakness and Damage

In many Souls-like games you are often guessing what Bosses and Enemies are weak to via extensive trial and error (unless you use the Wiki, which most of us do). However, in Lords of the Fallen you can tell relatively quickly how effective your damage type is:

  • Grey – Enemy is resistant to damage of this type of damage
  • White – Enemy is neither resistant nor weak to this type of damage
  • Red – Enemy is weak to this type of damage

Using these colors you can modify which weapons and spells you use when facing certain enemy types and Bosses, allowing you to aim for those Red numbers that will make your life a lot easier.

And one of the ways you can do this is via Weapon buff consumables, that add certain damage types for a limited time. For example, using Minor Fire Salts to add Fire Damage to your weapon.

Minor Fire Salts - Lords of the Fallen
Minor Fire Salts

Conversely, you can use items to prevent damage as well, if you recognize an enemy is using Fire or Holy Damage, you can use items like Holy or Fire Ward to reduce the damage you take. This can also help make tough bosses much easier for you.

How Do I Get More Healing Items – Sanguinarix & Briostone

One of the issues most new players will be facing is that they won’t have as many healing items as they would like. However, you can get more of these, though it does take some time.

To gain more uses of your Sanguinarix, and to improve its efficacy, you must find Saintly Quintessence and give them to Pieta in Skyrest Bridge. She will require more and more of these items to further upgrade your Sanguinarix, so you will need to find a lot of them.

Sanguinarix - Lords of the Fallen
Upgrading Sanguinarix

You can find Saintly Quintessence in the Umbral Realm, by Soulflaying Umbral Tumors that hang from walls. These are very easy to miss if you don’t Umbral often, and are typically guarded by some dangerous Umbral enemies. So make sure to use your lamp often to no only see if it’s worth swapping to the Umbral Realm, but also to see what enemies lie in store for you there.

Optionally, you can also use the Briostone Consumable item that will heal you for a bit of Health over time. These can help push you over the edge in certain Boss fights or stretches of the game you’re having trouble with. You can purchase these from Stomund in Skyrest Bridge if you need more.

How Do I Upgrade My Equipment – Where is the Blacksmith?

Much like typical Souls-like games you will require the help of a Blacksmith in order to upgrade your equipment. You will also need upgrade materials known as Deralium, that can be found throughout the game, drop from enemies, and some can be purchased from merchants as well.

To unlock the Blacksmith you will need to rescue her from her cell below the Bellroom Vestige. This should happen naturally through the progression of the game, and you will likely not find her for the first few hours. This is normal, just keep progressing the game.

Upgrade equipment at the Blacksmith - Lords of the Fallen
Upgrade equipment at the Blacksmith

You will find her in a cell guarded by a jailor, who can be quite difficult to defeat. I recommend dropping on to him for a plunging attack to make your life easier. Kill him, and use his key to open her cell and exhaust her dialogue. You can then rest at the Bellroom Vestige, and she will return to Skyrest Bridge where you can then upgrade your Weapons and Armor. Note that her cell contains upgrade materials once you free her, so be sure to return and pick it up before you forget it.

She will also take Rune Tablets later on that will allow her to sell you Runes and slot Runes into your Weapons that further boost the efficacy of your gear.

How Do I Gain More Spells in Lords of the Fallen?

If you’re playing a mage-type character in Lords of the Fallen you might be wondering how you gain more Spells, since you begin the game with only one in many cases. Well there are a few ways, so let’s discuss those.

Radiant Magic

First, Exacter Dunmar in Skyrest Bridge sells some Radiance Magic, so if you’re going for a “Holy” playthrough or just want to use some Holy Magic, then he’s your guy. Exhaust his dialogue to be able to purchase items from him.

Umbral Magic

Second, Molhu in Skyrest Bridge sells Umbral Magic, so if you are looking for these types of spells then you can buy some from him. Note that these require both Inferno and Radiance to cast, so they are much more difficult to meet the requirements for early on then Inferno or Radiance Spells.

Inferno Magic

Third, if you make your way through Pilgrim’s Perch, outside of Skyrest Bridge, and make it up the elevator found on the platforms outside, you will reach an area that has a locked door. You can find the key for it by swapping to the Umbral Realm and Soulflaying an Umbral Tumor in this area. Inside you will find a puzzle in the Umbral Realm, and if you solve it you will gain the Searing Accusation Inferno Catalyst. You can give it to the Tortured Prisoner and if you rest she will be gone, and you can find her next to the dead Fire Giant in front of where you fought Pieta earlier on in the game. She will now sell you Inferno Spells.

All Magic

Additionally, many magic spells are located around the game world as treasure, and you can purchase some from Molhu under the “Offer Remembrance” option once you’ve defeated some specific Bosses.

Sanctify

How to Get Boss Weapons, Spells & Armor

If you’ve defeated a few Bosses and have a couple of Remembrances, you might be wondering how you gain Boss gear from them. The answer is that you use Umbral Scourings. Umbral Scourings are a special item that you gain as you make progress in Lords of the Fallen. They are acquired by the following means:

  • From Stigmas – The memories of previous events you find in the Umbral Realm (must Soulflay them to trigger)
  • From defeating bosses
  • Some are sold by Molhu

Umbral Scourings can be used to purchase items related to major Bosses you have defeated in Lords of the Fallen, and these can be found at Molhu under the “Offer Remembrance” option. Once you select which Remembrance you wish to view, you can see what is available to purchase. Each weapon, Armor piece and Spell will have an Umbral Scourings cost in order to buy.

Umbral Scourings are a limited resource in Lords of the Fallen and you will only gain a fixed amount per playthrough, so you will have to play multiple playthroughs on the same character in order to get all Boss items. The total number you gain in one playthrough is 285, which you can use as a reference to determine what you want to buy.

Additionally, Umbral Scourings have another use, that might make you not want to spend them…

Vestige Seeds – What do they do? And how do I get more?

As you traverse Lords of the Fallen you will come across Umbral Flowerbeds that allow you to use Vestige Seeds to create Vestige Seedlings. These act as temporary Vestiges, or checkpoints, and allow you to perform the same functions you normally would at any other Vestige.

Lords of the Fallen - Vestige Seedling
Vestige Seedling

The kicker is that Vestige Seeds are a consumable item, and you will find far more Umbral Flowerbeds than you will have Vestige Seeds early on in the game. AND, you can only have one Vestige Seedling at a time. This means that when you plant a second Vestige Seed in a different Umbral Flowerbed, your previous Vestige Seedling will disappear. So managing your Vestige Seeds, and placing them in ideal locations is key.

You can gain more Vestige Seeds via the following means:

  • Dropped from elite Umbral enemies (every Umbral enemy except the Umbral zombies) at a 15-20% chance
  • Purchasable at Molhu ad infinitum
  • Dropped from Bosses

Make sure you stock up on these at Molhu if you need some, as it makes exploration much much easier. Make sure that you never have zero! Note that if you’re co-oping, your summoned partner can drop you some if you’re out.

NPCs – How do Their Quests Work?

NPCs in Lords of the Fallen work in a very similar manner to the Souls franchise. That is to say, that many are available at Skyrest Bridge, the main hub of the game, and as you find others out in the game world and help them, they will appear in Skyrest as well.

Skyrest Bridge - Lords of the Fallen
Skyrest Bridge

As you exhaust their dialogue, they will often ask for favors, ask for items, or even begin to sell you things or change locations. Make sure that you speak to them often to keep progressing their quest lines, or else you might miss out.

Shrines – What are they? And how do I use them?

Throughout Lords of the Fallen you will find 3 different Shrines that you can interact with. These are the Umbral Shrine, Radiant Shrine and Rhogar Shrine. Players can acquire items from Tier 1 initially, but Tiers 2 and 3 will have to be unlocked through the cooperative Donations of all online players.

Shrine of the Putrid Mother

The Shrine of the Putrid Mother is located in the same room as Molhu in Skyrest Bridge and provides the player items in exchange for Plucked Eyeballs. Plucked Eyeballs can be obtained by revenging fallen Lamp Bearers in other game worlds. You will find red lamps throughout the game, and can use Soulflay on them, and follow the trail to defeat the enemy that killed another player.

Shrine of Orius

The Shrine of Orius is located behind the Vestige in Skyrest Bridge, down the stairs, and provides players items in exchange for Pilfered Coins. Pilfered Coins are obtained by helping other players as a cooperator and defeating Bosses.

Shrine of Adyr

The Shrine of Adyr is located in Fitzroy’s Gorge (which is quite a ways into the game) and provides players with items in exchange for Severed Hands. Severed Hands can be obtained by defeating other players in PvP invasions.
